India Clean Sweep III - 2016

India Clean Sweep is the nation-wide umbrella of cleanup drives alongside the Chennai Coastal Cleanup organized in collaboration with various regional NGOs. Started in 2014, in its first year cleaning activities were organized at 10 different cities in South India. 

This year various teams from 12 cities Participated in the cleanup with over 1300 Volunteers cleaning up over 1000 bags of Garbage.

1.Himalayas 

Total 25 volunteers from Eco Traveller  including 10 mahila mandal members also participated from Nakthan Village did cleaned up 25 bags of garbage from Parvathi valley.



2.Hyderabad 

 60 volunteers from Great Hyderabad Adventure club and  Environmentalist Foundation of India have cleaned up Kapra lake and removed around 25 bags of garbage.

3.Coimbatore

19 Volunteers from Environmentalist Foundation of India  cleaned up Selvachintamani Kulam and removed around 40 bags of Garbage.


4.Tenkasi

9 volunteers from Tenkasi Nature Club, cleaned up "Thirumalai Koil Murugan Hill" and removeed around 29 bags of garbage.


5.Cuddalore 

250 Volunteers from CTC, Cuddalore Biking club,  Ck school of practical knowledge matriculation higher secondary school, Krishnaswamy vidyanikethan, 
St.Joseph's college of arts and science have cleaned up Cuddalore Silver beach and removed 75 bags of Garbage.



6.Pondicherry

300 Volunteers from Pondicherry cleaned up 325 bags of garbage from Auro beach.



7.Yelagiri 

70 Volunteers from Curing the Nature and Tirupattur Nature club cleaned up 75 bags of garbage from Yelagiri Hills.



8.Cumbum

200 Volunteers from "Okkaligar Ilaignar Peravai"  cleaned up 180 bags of garbage from lowercamp to kumily.



9.Tuticorin 

200 volunteers from We can Trust cleaned up 150 bags of garbage Tuticorin New Beach



10.Trichy 

110 Volunteerss from :Shine Treechy" cleaned up 50 bags of garbage from Kollidam river bank...


11.Tirunelveli

70 volunteers from Nellai Nature club clened up 23 bags of garbage from Athiri Hills.




12.Kanyakumari

10 volunteers from Environmentalist Foundation of India cleaned up 30 bags of garbage from Vivekandapuram Pond.
