Trek Polamaa VII (Feb) - Celebrating CTC's 8th birthday, the outdoor platform which connects like minded outdoor, adventure, sports and nature loving souls recently crossed 27 thousand members. LOTS of outdoor events for the entire month and inspirational talks by renowned speakers. Last years speaker lineup and event calendar.
Blood Donation (May, Oct) - We recently crossed the memorable milestone of having donated 1000 units saving hundreds of lives in accidents, emergency operations and less privileged children suffering from blood cancer. Thanks to our life savers! Remember that each one of us can donate blood once every 3 months! Become a Red Knight!
Chennai Coastal Cleanup (Jun) - The 7th year edition of our annual environmental awareness campaign. Last year we ran a 2 month long awareness campaign with various initiatives on the field and social media to sensitize the public on our growing garbage footprint, the impact on health and environment and appeal for a more sustainable way of life. 10 reasons not to miss this mega event!
Chennai Triathlon (Jul, Dec) - Twice a year CTC brings you the Chennai Triathlon inviting all multi-sports athletes to participate at multiple levels from Sprint, Olympic, Half to Full Iron categories. More than 2000 sports men and women have participated in 15 editions of our Chennai Triathlon over the past 3 years. What are you still waiting for to step up? A new date for our recently postponed Dec 19 Iron Triathlon will be announced soon.
Jawadhu Hill ultra (JHU, Aug) - The third edition of South India's premier hill trail ultra - a challenging 25/50/75K trail run across the beautiful, remote and challenging Jawadhu hills. JHU has a limited headcount and stringent entrance criteria to attract the best ultra runners from across South India! Check out the specs over here.
Green Day (Aug) - CTC's annual environment day organized by Ainthiai - CTC's green soldiers who planted more then 6 thousand trees in the last 4 years in and around the city and organized a multitude of green events including workshops, organic farming, nurseries, lake restorations, rooftop gardening, segregation & recycling, zero waste homes, kids tree walks and more.
Chennai Trail Marathon (Sep) - Regarded as one of the most beautiful trail runs in South, the only Ultra run near Chennai and organized by the most enthusiastic bunch of volunteers - CTM has built a unique reputation in South as being the must-attend multi-terrain trail running marvel for all marathon enthusiasts. Peak Bagging Challenge (Oct) - New in our 2016 event lineup is CTC's Peak Bagging Challenge - a competitive hiking event inviting teams across South from different trekking outfits in a challenge to scale the peak. An event somewhat related to our popular past treasure hunts.
