CTM15 - Trail Running Practice Sessions

THE FUN - THE ADVENTURE - THE ULTIMATE TRAIL RUNNING EXPERIENCE HAS STARTED. Are you training for it ?  



Trail Running is a kind of sport that involves your entire body and, therefore, requires a good starting physiological shape, a muscle-articular structure.


In addition to the physical shape you need to develop a mindset able to deal with unpredictable weather conditions and different trail tracks. Indeed, unlike in road races, speed is just as important as the ability to trail situations that may become even more complex with slush, mud, and rains.

Keeping an eye towards the event day (Sept 13). We will be conducting the following training runs at Gojan Business School, Choolavarm during the early hours on the below mentioned dates.

August 2nd (Sunday) – Long distance slow run on the trails. To make your legs, and other muscles familiarize with the trail running conditions. Finish with full body stretching exercises.
Distances: 5 kms / 10 kms / 15 kms / 21 kms. At your own comfortable pace

August 16th (Sunday) – Long distance slow run on the trails. To make your legs, and other muscles familiarize with the trail running conditions. Finish with full body stretching exercises.
Distances: 10 kms / 15 kms / 20 kms/ 25 kms. At your own comfortable pace

August 23rd (Sunday) – Long distance slow run on the trails. To make your legs, and other muscles familiarize with the trail running conditions. Finish with full body stretching exercises.
Distances: 10 kms / 15 kms / 20 kms/ 25 kms/ 30kms. At your own comfortable pace

Sept 6th (Sunday) – Medium distance slow run on the trail and full body partner stretching exercises.
Distances: 5 kms / 10 kms / 15 kms. At your own comfortable pace.

FAQ’s:

Where do I assemble?
3. 45 a.m at guindy (in front of toyota showroom)
4.10 a.m at Koyambedu
4. 30 a.m at Retteri junction
5.00 a.m at Redhills junction (road heading towards thiruvallur)
5.30 a.m start of warm up and proceeded by running.

How do I transport?
Everyone is requested to commute through their private vehicles. However, we will share interested car and bike owner numbers who are willing to provide you a lift.

Will there be any aid stations?
This will be a self supported run and every runner is requested to bring their own hydration. However, at the starting point we will have few bubble tops for refreshment. We can fill water on the trail from nearby villages.

Possible to have breakfast?
At your own discretion we have south Indian breakfast at Gojan college canteen after the run.

Do I have to pay any cost?
No costs. Pay for your own breakfast and fuel - Go Dutch.
