THE LITTLE RUNNER
Roshan mani janardhanan was all of six years when he joined his father for a fun ride to Pondicherry, who along with his colleagues was participating in the Auriville Marathon 2012. Little did anyone realize that it was a beginning for the many Marathons Roshan participated later. He voluntarily registered under the kids category for 2km run and completed it surprising his father.

AUROVILLE MARATHON 2012 – HELD AT PONDICHERRY ON FEBRUARY 12TH 2012 – 2KM CATEGORYTHE BEGINNING
 Roshan’s first attempt to cover a distance of 10kms was tried at CHENNAI DREAM RUNNERS MARATHON 2012 – HELD AT BESANT NAGAR, CHENNAI ON JULY 10TH 2012 . He was able to run past the showers with full enthusiasm and was declared the youngest participant in the category. Little Master Roshan Mani Janardhanan was the youngest participant and was cheered by the organizers throughout the run that keep his spirits, to complete the Run.
 That was a true start…..

Roshan’s first participation in the CHENNAI TERRY FOX RUN 2012 – HELT AT IIT CAMPUS, CHENNAI ON AUGUST 21ST 2012 the year when it’s founder Akash Dubey surrendered himself to cancer. . He participated in the6.5 km run with his parents and completed it within 40minutes. The run is held annually to raise funds for cancer research.

  It was a memorable run for the lit’l one
Roshan’s participation in CTC BUCKINGHAM CANAL MARATHON – HELD AT SHOLINGANALLUR ON OCTOBER 7TH2012 was his fourth such event. He registered under the 10km category and completed the run in 90 min. he enjoyed running along the river side stretch with his parents and was the youngest participant there too…
 
THE WIPRO CHENNAI MARATHON 2012  - HELD AT IIT MADRAS, ON DECEMBER 2ND2012 was Roshan’s 5th marathon run in the year 2012.
Roshan opened his Marathon account for the year 2013 by participating in the DAWN TO DUDUSK MARATHON 2013 – HELD AT IIT MADRAS, ON JANUARY 13TH 2013. The event was flagged off by the Governor His Excellency Rosiah, organized by Balasanjeevani for raising funds for children with cerebral palsy. Is was Roshan’s 6th  marathon for a cause….

 Roshan  Mani Janardhanan successfully completed the 10km run REPUBLIC DAY HALF MARATHON 2013 BY COOL RUNNERS– HELD AT YMCA GROUNDS, NANDANAM, ON JANUARY 27TH 2013 in 90 min and his attempt as the youngest participant was appreciated by the worshipful Mayor of Chennai, Thiru. Saidai S.Duraisamy.

 DREAM RUNNERS HALF MARATHON- 2013 HELD AT IIT MADRAS, CAMPUS ON 7THJULY 2013 witnessed Roshan’s participation in his 8th marathon in which he completed 10kms in 90 min.



Roshan recently participated in THE TERRY FOX RUN 2013, HELD AT IIT MADRAS CAMPUS, ON 25TH AUGUST 2013, which was his second appearance in the same event and 9th appearance in a Marathon.

He is 71/2years young, pusuing his class II in SBOA School and Junior College Anna Nagar. He has been receiving good support and encouragement from his school.
Roshan’s talent and interest in this sport would not have seen light but for his father Mani Janardhanan who is always there for  his son fulfilling all his needs and wishes, encouraging him by accompanying him in his practice sessions and exposing Roshan to many more Marathons to come. Blessings and support are also extended by friends and family members, especially his father’s colleagues.

He eagerly looks forward for his second consecutive participation in the CTC marathon and another in Coimbatore next month.
