Photo walk to Dakshina Chitra – Apr 30^th 2017 | Walk No. 24

 Group started off from Thiruvanmiyur Railway Station at around 9 AM on Sunday, the 30^th of April 2017.  A quick delicious breakfast at Sangeetha restaurant just adjacent to Dakshin Chitra and then at 10:30 am we got our tickets and started our walk inside Dakshina Chitra.  

Dakshina Chitra, meaning “A picture of the South” is an amazing culmination of South Indian art and architecture.  The participants started wandering off attracted by the mesmerizing architecture of the South Indian houses.  There was one agreement though.  Everyone meets back at 12:30 pm for the ‘folk dance’ performance at the podium near the entrance.

All our bags were checked for professional photography equipment which is not allowed (the guy was actually checking if we had tripods! 5Ds and 6Ds sneaked in!).  We were blessed by beautifully crafted Ganapathy at the entrance and a magnificent Shiva in his dancing posture.

And then we move on to a little gully lined with shops selling colourful artefacts!

  The team gathered back at 12:30 pm for an amazing folk dance event:

 

  

The Walk concluded with a hour long discussion amongst the team introducing each other and discussing the day’s learnings.  Bracketing and Dynamic Range were hot topics doing the rounds.  It was a tremendous learning event indeed!

​CTC - ​Madras Clickers did it again!  The smile on our faces even after a strenuous summer day talks a million!
