Overwhelming response in the first week on the 8th year edition of the Chennai Coastal Cleanup. 200+ individuals and 30 Companies / NGOs / Colleges totalling 1000+ volunteers signed up so far. 2. Waste Management / Zero-waste communities
Interested to go zero-waste at your home, apartment complex, company or school? Contact us or attend one of our ongoing waste mgmt workshops to lead the way into a greener and healthier future
3.’Waste to Wealth’ workshops
We will show that items of functional and beauty can be carved out of (plastic) waste. Stay tuned for one of our upcoming workshops on the same
4. Running for CCC
5. Cycling for CCC
We are in touch with 25+ running chapters and 5+ cycling groups in the city and will publish a schedule shortly to organize awareness runs/rides for the upcoming Chennai Coastal Cleanup/8 drive
6. Wall painting with Paintbox
We are in the process of identifying various public walls around the city to create awareness through paintings. Interested to unleash the creative genius in you? Stay tuned....
7. Community engagement
Interested to work with children in schools, fishermen's villages along the coastal line through drawing competitions, awareness presentations, green workshops, etc?
8. Talking to vendors on beaches to avoid plastics / waste
No better way then addressing the source - join us at Foreshore/Marina as we engage with local beach vendors to eliminate plastics
9. Team up with Corporation to maintain beaches/parks
Replicate the model of clean Thirunvanmyur beach in other parts of the city
10. Taking interviews with corporates / vendors / individuals who do positive change towards green future
