Ainthinai Ctc - CTC's Green team - engages in many diverse green activities including tree plantation, coastal cleanup, organic farming, seed sowing, terrace gardening, tree walks, waste management, lake cleanup, sapling maintenance and setting up nurseries. Over the past 6 months Ainthinai has organized 70 events across these 10 different activities involving 1200+ volunteers to make Chennai city and it's surroundings a greener and better place to live in increasing greencover, growing natural and healthier food, reducing garbage footprint, restoring lakes, rivers and beaches.
To highlight our green efforts and to create awareness among the general public to think and act green we are organizing a Green Day on Sunday Nov 23rd teaming up with the Tamilnadu Forest Department to plant 1000+ saplings at Walajabad, just South of the city. We need the help of 200+ volunteers to make this effort a success and look forward to you joining us on CTC's green day - it's gonna be fun, it's gonna be green, it's gonna be another wonderful CTC stylevolunteer effort.
