Launching The Chennai Trekking Club'sWomen's ForumDue to the extensive member base of CTC a lot of women trekkers find it difficult / sensitive to discuss certain concerns, queries and suggestions in a public forum which has a majority of male members. The CTC Women's Trekking Forum's primary objective will be to clear doubts and concerns of new trekkers and also to help women trekkers become more active to take up treks of higher difficulty levels and get involved in more activities on a regular basis instead of one time one day easy treks. Most women who are new to CTC have a lot of apprehensions and reservations about trekking in general, especially when it comes to overnight treks with a mixed group and fitness levels. This forum will serve as a place of conversation for past/present/future women trekkers of CTC to share their experiences, expertise and get all their doubts cleared in order to increase the number of women who take up treks and also help encourage more active trekking.
