This was our 25th social trek and this time, a new orphanage has joined our bandwagon, The Saranalaym. The response for the social treks have been improving over the years and the trend continued through this social trek. We would like to thank each and every volunteer who were present yesterday for making it a memorable day.
All non-Koyambedu participants gathered at the orphange by 5:45am and started soon afterwards with 44 eager kids and 6 concerned caretakers. We met with the Koyambedu participants opposite Panimalar EC and were on our way to home-trekking-point, Nagalapuram. We had breakfast on the way near Thiruvallur, Thilak had ordered from our regular caterers. The medu: Idli, Sambhar and Chutney

We reached foothills of nagala. Volunteers collected the food for themselves and the kids and we started the trek. The kids had a great time on the second pool.
All the kids were in ecstasy.
We finally returned after having lunch, tamarind rice and took a group pic on the way back.
We had dinner in a roadside dhabha on our way back with all our appetite increasing way beyond our usual limit.
Thank you to all the volunteers for bringing a million dollar smile on the every kids face.
