Distribution of unused/old clothes, toys, furniture to homes

This weekend myself and Thilak distributed a first set of clothes, toys, TV and various other items donated by our members to a number of homes. Just sharing a few photos with you all.

Note - so far we received around 80% of adult clothes - a sincere request to our members to donate more child clothes or toys (the kids were especially happy with toys/dolls). We also received a few TVs, a fridge, a sofa set, cupboards which are very much useful for the homes. We had collected around 300 items at my home shown below as shown below. More is currently being collected in other locations in the city.

Some items were distributed to the SIP Home - an orphanage with HIV positive kids in Kollatur (taken out twice on a social trek in CTC) -

A second batch of items was gifted to Anbul Ilam - a boys orphanage in Malani (taken out twice on a social trek) -

Most of the adult items we received were given to Samparna in Kollatur - a home for mentally destitute adults and some kids -

Final set of items was gifted to the Udavuam Nanbargal Illam home in Avadi (provides free tuition for poor children from surrounding villages) -
